Unfortunately, David Harris cannot deliver his March 13 lecture. The lecture will be re-scheduled for a later date (probably in May).
In the second of three TIM Lectures on cybersecurity, our speaker, J. David Harris, the inaugural Director of the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences, Raleigh NC, will introduce the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences (LAS), a government, academic, and industry collaboration. The LAS is charged with imagining, investigating, and implementing innovative classified and unclassified solutions for a variety of tactical and strategic analytic challenges of critical importance to the U. S. Intelligence Community.
Time and location
The lecture will take place on Mar 11, 2014, at 6-9pm in St. Patrick’s Building, Room SP 102. Please register below to help us plan the event.
The presentation will focus on the importance of diversity as a driver of innovation, and describe a framework for analysis that is widely applicable to many market segments. As time allows, we’ll touch on the importance of asking the right questions, big data, measurement, and agility, all of which are central the the LAS mission. We will also share our reflections on how this new model for a lab is a hybrid of both a start-up and a traditional Government organization.
